The year is Cosmic Era 70. After the vicious war between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance triggered by the "Bloody Valentine" tragedy culminates in the Second Battle of Jachin Due, which results in great sacrifices, the two sides conclude a cease-fire agreement. But this is not enough to completely extinguish the fires of war... During the ensuing conflict, Shinn Asuka gets caught up in the invasion of Orb by the Earth Alliance forces, and he witnesses the deaths of his parents and little sister. Heartbroken, he departs Orb and heads to the PLANTs... In year 73 of the Cosmic Era, Shinn finds himself piloting a Gundam as a ZAFT soldier...
