Produced by the Federation Forces' Murasame Newtype Laboratory as the first ever Cyber-Newtype, this boy is also known by the name "Proto Zero."
He has supreme confidence in his abilities, and piloting skills to match.
However, the surgeries needed to make him an artificial Newtype left his psyche and physique very fragile.
Searching desperately for a cure, he defected to Zeon, taking the Cyber-Newtype data and technology along with him. Even so, he feels responsible for the effect of his actions on fellow Cyber-Newtype Leila Raymond.
