While attending the Arbrau Defense Force's launchceremony, he covered Makanai Togonosuke to protect him from a terrorist bombing and was gravely wounded, but eventually made a recovery. Once he returned to Mars, he fought well on the frontlines piloting a Landman Rodi. He was devastated to discover that he had been left out of the loop when Nadi Yukinojo Kassapa started dating Merribit Stapleton during his time on Earth.
