Sol Lyne Lange

An engineer affiliated with the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization (DSSD). He is a Coordinator acting as a test pilot for a planetary exploration mobile suit and a core member of the Stargazer Project, whose goal is to explore beyond Mars' orbit. Sol lost his parents at a young age, and was taken in by his uncle, Edmond Du Clos. He has something of a sibling relationship with Selene McGriff, who also lost her parents. He worked on development of the planetary exploration mobile suit that would come to be known the as Stargazer at the Fortaleza R&D Center in South America. However, environmental damage from the "Break the World" incident led him to flee to space. From there, he continued development at the DSSD's space-based Troya Station. When the station came under attack by the Earth Alliance special forces unit Phantom Pain, he sortied in the Stargazer with Selene.
