A pilot for ZAFT's new warship, the Minerva. She was in the same class as Shinn Asuka and Rey Za Burrel at the ZAFT military academy, and is similarly allowed to wear a red uniform, the symbol of the top military elites. She has a younger sister named Meyrin Hawke who serves as the Minerva's control officer. She has nerves of steel, and her plucky and amicable demeanor makes her popular with boys and girls alike. She is caring and considerate of her friends as well. As the Minerva's battles get more brutal, and Shinn starts to become more brooding, she makes it a point to reach out to him. Even in the pitched battle that ensued when the Phantom Pain launched a surprise attack on Armory One, she kept a firm mindset and treated it as a personal challenge, enabling her to hold her own. She developed a crush on Athrun Zala when he got stationed on the Minerva. However, Athrun and Meyrin deserted ZAFT together. To make matters worse, Shinn shot down their vessel. She was devastated by the loss of her sister, and Shinn was likewise distressed at having killed them both. The two grew closer by taking comfort in one another.
