Though he remains kindhearted, the toll of so many battles has turned him into a man of forceful conviction. Living quietly with Lacus Clyne after the war, his life took a turn after she was saved from the jaws of death. He vowed to stand against the coming chaos and find the road to peace along with his friends on the Archangel. Though his Freedom Gundam was shot down by Shinn Asuka's Impulse Gundam during the Alliance's Operation Angel down, he returned to the battlefield after receiving the Strike Freedom Gundam from Lacus. Gilbert Dullindal's subsequent revelation of the "Destiny Plan" saw him join the decisive battle in space to prevent it from coming to fruition.
