One year after the cessation of hostilities between the Earth's nations, his inability to live in a world without war left him unable to support Quatre Raberba Winner's proposal to destroy the Gundams.
In search of the meaning of justice and peace, he consciously sided with evil, taking the Altron Gundam to join the Mariemaia Army in their uprising.
During the conflict, he stood in the way of Heero Yuy and the Wing Gundam Zero, fighting fiercely through satellite orbit as he questioned his conflicted comrade-in-arm's own sense of justice.
