Leader of the "Immortal 04th MS Team" during the One Year War, he is a stalwart veteran and a father figure to young pilots such as Kou Uraki, who all strive to be like him.
After the One Year War, he commands the MS test pilots at the Torrington base. He is ordered by Eyphar Sinapus, captain of the warship Albion, to look after the Albion's MS pilots who had been ordered to retrieve the Gundam GP02 stolen by the Federation Forces.
He is an excellent soldier and commander, greatly trusted by his subordinates.
A seasoned pilot, he still fights on the front lines with his comrades, but recently he has started to feel his age.
His personal life is somewhat complicated: he has a wife on Earth, but apparently has girlfriends elsewhere.
