Commander of Zeon's Kuspen Combat Battalion. He is a career soldier who incorporates the 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit into his own battalion and assumes control aboard the Jotunheim. His oppressive and outrageous actions are misinterpreted by many, but he is a direct person who has great affection for his subordinates and allies. He is a noble soldier who fights for his country with valor. He is also an exceptional commander with a broad perspective and calm, almost unemotional judgment. He lost his left arm in a previous battle, and in times of high emotion he has a tendency to reach for it.
